Founder & Artist at Shafaq Bridal Henna
At the heart of Shafaq Bridal Henna is Vanessa — a multidisciplinary artist whose love for the sacred art of henna began in childhood. Drawn to the stories, rituals, and symbols carried through generations, she found in mehndi a language beyond words — one that speaks to the soul through the body.
Vanessa has studied and practiced artistic disciplines for over a decade. Her experience spans visual arts, fashion styling, and creative direction — but henna, with its deep roots and ephemeral beauty, has always called her back. After teaching art and mehndi workshops in León, New York, and Spain, she now brings her craft to San Miguel de Allende with a fresh and elevated approach.
Through Shafaq Bridal Henna, Vanessa offers more than ornamentation. Each design is handcrafted with 100% natural, earthy ingredients, created with intention and care. Her sessions are immersive experiences — where incense, music, symbolism and ancestral wisdom create a sacred pause in time.
